# Parking Near Bournemouth Beach Bournemouth's seafront gets packed on sunny weekends. Here's our honest local guide to where to park, what it costs, and how to avoid the queues. ## The main seafront car parks - **BIC Car Park (BH2 5BH)** — closest to the pier and West Cliff. Multi-storey, usually has spaces even on busy days, but pricier — roughly £3–£4 per hour or £15+ all day in summer. - **Westover Road Car Park** — right by the Pavilion and gardens, walkable to the beach in 5 minutes. - **Bath Road South** — a short walk to Bournemouth Pier, similar rates. - **Boscombe Overcliff & Undercliff** — cheaper (from ~£1.50/hr) and often quieter, best for the east end of the beach. ## Free street parking (locals' secret) Streets on the **West Cliff residential area** (behind the West Cliff hotels) and parts of **Boscombe** have free on-street parking with no time limit — but read every sign. Some streets are permit-holders only. A 10-minute walk down the zig-zag paths brings you to the sand. ## Best value for a full beach day Any of the council car parks with a **daily flat rate** work out better than hourly if you're staying past 3 hours.
