Is The Chocolate Box a good hotel for families?
Yes. We have dedicated family bedrooms sleeping up to four, plus a self-contained Seaside Town House ideal for larger families or small groups. Free parking and beach proximity make it easy for family holidays.
How close is the hotel to the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC)?
The BIC is about 1.5 miles from the hotel — 5 minutes by taxi, 10 minutes on the seafront bus, or a pleasant 25-minute walk along the promenade. We're a popular stay for guests attending shows and conferences at the BIC.
What makes The Chocolate Box different from other Bournemouth hotels?
Every guest is welcomed with homemade chocolate truffles and a glass of cava. Rooms are individually themed, we host themed learning breaks (knitting, holistic yoga, bootcamp, barber academy), and Gio's Café Patisserie & Restaurant is on site for breakfast, pastries and dinner.
Do you have parking?
Yes — free on-site parking is available on a first-come basis (6 spaces for 12 rooms). Additional free on-street parking is usually available nearby.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 3:00 PM using a personal keycode (no reception desk needed). Check-out is by 10:30 AM. Late arrivals are welcome — the keycode works 24 hours.
Do you serve breakfast?
Yes. Gio's Café Patisserie & Restaurant on site serves a full English breakfast, continental options, freshly baked pastries and barista coffee. Available to hotel guests and walk-in customers.
Can I book a themed holiday break?
Yes — we run themed breaks throughout the year including knitting weekends with Sophie Wilson, holistic yoga with Josh Lewis, seaside bootcamp, barber academy with Phil Jarman, and seasonal Christmas and New Year celebrations by the sea. Limited spaces available on each.
